Where Was Mark Twain Born


Mark twain was born in Florida, Missouri on November 30, 1835. He was born as a son of a Tennessee country merchant John Marshall Clemens. Twain was the sixth of all the sevn children of his family. However, only three of his siblings survived childhood. The rest died in their early years due to some or the other reason.

Mark Twain’s original name was Samuel Langhorne Clemens. Mark Twain was just one of the many pen names that he used. The writer also wrote under the pen name of "Thomas Jefferson Snodgrass" for a series of humorous letters. His sketches were signed under the name of "Josh" until 1863.
