Edison had dedicated his life to science, technology and inventions. People believed that he was a man before his time, which simply means that his mind was far more advanced than the time he was living in. Edison was an inventor as well as a businessman. The kind of acute poverty he had experienced in his childhood had taught him the value of money. But the urge to help the society and the people was above any financial gains. He was always considered as a good friend and had a fewer enemies. He strictly followed and believed in the environmental as well as the humanitarian values
Edison was so famous scientist of his time that he was always linked with important personalities from all over the globe. Society seeked him on daily basis and looked up to him for all his contributions. On the contrary, Edison never sought society, it put him under lots of pressure and grief to give up his work and receive honors and meeting notable people.
He once refused to accept the flattering invitation from the great Oxford University in the UK to receive a degree. The society showed its respect and love for Edison which made him more than ever always in demand. What Edison did in his lifetime is precisely can never be forgotten by the humanity.
