His famed theory of energy and mass equivalence, (also known as theory of relativity) with its equation E=MC², where energy is equal to the sum of mass of the object and square of the speed of light is among one of his important scientific works. In 1922 Einstein was awarded the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics for his services to Theoretical Physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect.

Einstein had great contributions to physics including his special theory of relativity, which reconciled mechanics with electromagnetism, and his general theory of relativity, which was intended to extend the principle of relativity to non-uniform motion and to provide a new theory of gravitation. Einstein had a clear view of the problems of physics and a strong determination to solve them. He had a unique approach of his own and was quite able to visualize the major stages on the way to his goal. He always believed that his major achievements are mere stepping-stones for the next advance.

Einstein was a prominent physicist. His other contributions include growth in the fields of relativistic cosmology, capillary action, critical opalescence, classical problems of statistical mechanics and their application to quantum theory. His great works are beyond any enlistment.
