His father, Hermann Einstein, was a salesperson and engineer, who founded a company in Munich when they came here. Later his company failed and the family moved to Italy. Albert continued his higher education at Aarau, Switzerland. He was not such a good student when he was young. Einstein did not like the strict rules that he had to follow at school and he only applied himself to those subjects that interests him the most, such as math and Latin. Outside of his academic studies, he also learned to play the violin at behest of his mother who adored music.
In the year of 1896, he got an admission in Swiss Federal Polytechnic School, Zurich. He completed his diploma in 1901 and got his doctorate after four years. It was during this time when he proposed the equation of E=MC2. In 1909, he became a Professor at Zurich and in 1911, Professor of theoretical physics at Prague. In 1914, he was appointed as the Director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Physical Institute in the University of Berlin. He served there as a professor as well.
In 1914, he became a German citizen and stayed in Berlin until 1933. This year he renounced his citizenship due to political reasons and moved to America to hold the position of Professor of Theoretical Physics at Princeton. In 1940, he became a United States citizen. He retired from his post in 1945. After Second World War, Albert Einstein became the leading figure in world government movement.
Albert Einstein accomplished his maximum scientific discoveries in 1920’s as he embarked on the construction of unified field theories. Nevertheless, his theory of relativistic cosmology was proposed later, this is considered as the basis for atomic transition. In 1922, Albert Einstein was awarded Nobel Prize in physics for the year 1921. He was married to Mileva Maric in 1903 and had a daughter and two sons; their marriage was dissolved in 1919 and in the same year he married his cousin, Elsa Löwenthal, who died in 1936. Einstein died on April 18, 1955 at Princeton, New Jersey.
