Althrop, which is now the burial site of Princess Diana, is originally the home of the Spencer family. The place has been the Spencer’s residence or the past five hundred years now. The Althrop estate dates back to 1508. At present, Dian’s brother- 9th Earl Spencer lives there.
The site has been open to public for the past fifty years. Every year the Althrop site is open for a limited season. Each year the place opens from early July to August end or beginning of September each year. The dates are announced in the official website of Althrop each year. During the opening season, people can also come and see the exhibitions each day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
