She did some phenomenal work for charity. Princess Diana has made notable contribution in working for AIDS patients. She also supported the campaign of banning landmines.
The beautiful lady got married to Prince Charles in 1981. Her marriage fetched the title of “Her Royal Highness Princess Diana of Wales”. She has two sons from her marriage namely Prince Williams and Prince Charles who are second and third in line in succession to the throne. Princess Diana got divorced from the Prince of Wales in 1996. Thus, she lost the resulting Royal Highness style.
It goes without saying that Princess Diana was a popular figure on the world stage. But it was her personal life more than her charitable deeds that brought her to the limelight. Both the prince and the princess of Wales never really seemed cordial. As a result the marriage fell apart and the two got divorced in mid 1980s. After the split, Diana was reportedly involved in a string of affairs. While she admitted some, she denied the rest.
However, Princess Diana died a tragic death in a car accident in Pont de l'Alma road tunnel in Paris on 31 August 1997.
