Whether it was for her fashion statements or her support towards charitable causes, Princess Diana was an icon through the twentieth century. While her philanthropic endeavors brought her the title of ‘people’s princess’, her numerous affairs made her the focus of constant media scrutiny. Princess Diana is truly a legend for all that she has achieved during her lifetime.

Married to Prince Charles, Diana entered the royal reign on 29 July 198. Her marriage was a lavish and an extravagant affair and this is why it was popularly known as ‘The fairytale wedding’. The event was viewed by 750 million people across he globe. Though the marriage soon fell apart, it did bore its fruits in the forms of two sons namely Prince William and Prince Harry.

Diana’s personal affairs did make her a subject of national headlines every now and then. But the lady also remained in news for her noble deeds. She supported the cause of HIV patients and was one of the first celebs to have touched and AIDS patient. Pictures of the princess along with an HIV patient were published across the world. It is said that these pictures played a pivotal role in hanging the attitude of the commoner towards AIDS patients. The princess also supported the cause of ban of landmines.

Like her life, the death of the princess too had its twists and turns. Though she is said to have dies in a normal car accident, some reports suggest that her death was a result of a conspiracy. It is indeed the aura of the dynamic lady that even more than a decade after her death, the world still remembers her and always will.
