Joe Biden Biography
Born November 20, 1942, Joseph Robinette “Joe” Biden Jr. was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and later moved to Delaware. Biden is the Vice President-elect of the US and a senior senator of United States from Delaware. He became an attorney in 1969 and was elected to the county council in 1970. Biden was the fifth youngest senator to be elected in the senate in 1972. He got re-elected in 1978, 1984, 1990, 1996, 2002 and 2008. He has been the longest serving member and the current chairman of Foreign Relations Committee. |

Early Life And Education :
He was the first of four siblings to Joseph Robinette Biden Sr. and Catherine Eugenia. He has two brothers and two sisters. Biden went to Archmere Academy in Claymont where he used to play baseball before later joining the University of Delaware in Newark.
Biden a Bachelor of Arts graduate, he had double major in political science and history. He later joined Syracuse University College of Law in 1968 where he received a Juris Doctorate.
He married Neilia in 1966-72 and when she died he got married to Jill Tracy Jacobs in 1977. Biden is survived by four children Beau, Hunter, Naomi Christian and Ashley Blazer Biden.
Presidential Campaigns :
He has contested for Democratic presidential nomination twice in 1988 and in 2008. Biden withdrew his presidential ambitions in 2008 after coming last amongst other presidential nominee contenders.
Obama later elected him as his running mate on August 22, 2008. Apart from politics Biden has received honorary degrees from Saint Joseph’s University and University of Delaware. He will be the first Roman Catholic and the first Delaware senator to be Vice President after inauguration.
