He collaborated with the Hot Boys to produce his debut album called “Tha Black is Hot” in 1999 hence riding high in music ladder. This was his stepping-stone where he later produced “2000 Lights Out” album and “500 Degreez” in 2002 respectively and latest solo album being “Tha Carter”.
Growing up in New Orleans, Lil Wayne had a talent in rapping. He could compose songs and rap to his neighbours. While performing at home parties, he met Cash Money Records Chief Executive Officer Mr. Brian Williams and Ronald Williams and had an autograph. Before long, he posted his freestyle singles on the Cash Money Records answering machine hence he considered for a contract then.
That was when Lil Wayne was a young rapper; he grew rapping and released his first single Tru Story Nigga. He started to wear gang attires that led her mother criticizing his music career. Besides, he almost died when he shot himself with a gun, an incident that led to imprisonment of his stepfather Rabbit.
Lil Wayne produced a hit single “Get It How You Live” at sixteen, performed bubble gum and gangstar rap while under twenty years before collaborating with international pop singers like Jay-Z to produce his latest album “Tha Carter”.
Though Lil Wayne is a celebrity and produces most of his songs in slang.
