Leukemia :
Leukemia is a cancer that affects blood. Gene Wilder, Kenechi Udeze and Jason Blake are celebrities that currently live with leukemia. Anemia :
Anemia is a condition that occurs when blood contains lower than normal levels of red blood cells. As a result, the body does not receive adequate supply of oxygen which could lead to damage of the brain, heart, and other body organs. Severe cases of anemia are known to be fatal. Famous Olympic Silver medal winner Tim Shaw was found to have anemia in 1976 that resulted from iron deficiency.
Sickle Cell Anemia :
Sickle cell anemia is a deadly disease that leads to the formation abnormal sickle-shaped red cells. Sickle cells could easily lead to blockage of blood vessels that supply body organs and limbs with nutrients and oxygen. The condition could easily cause infections, pain and organ damage. Mile Davis, Paul Williams, Tionne, and Georgeanna Tillman are famous celebrities that live with sickle cell disease.
Hemophilia :
Hemophilia is a genetic related blood disorder that makes the blood to take abnormally long to clot. Hemophiliacs therefore bleed longer after an injury compared to normal people. It is estimated that about 18,000 individuals in U.S.A. are hemophilic. Tsarevitch Alexei, a Russian prince inherited hemophilia from his mother, one of the daughters of Queen Victoria.
