I n the 1920s fame was a new concept of life in the rapidly changing world. During this time, quite a number of names became the talk of the world in different spheres of life. These included Charlie Chaplin, Herbert Hoover, Warren Harding, Marcus Garvey, Greta Garbo, John Gilbert, Louise Brooks, and Albert Einstein among others.

Charlie Chaplin lived between 1889 and 1977.He was a well known comedian, actor and musician. Some of his unforgettable works include The Tramp and The Great Dictator. He earned various awards and honors for his work.

Harding was the 29th American president who served form 1921 to 1923.He was the most respected president in post world war 1 America. He emerged successful in turning around a war ravaged America onto its feet.

Garvey was the most influential black civil rights leader. He founded the Universal Negro Improvement Association in Jamaica.Garvey is remembered as the greatest black civil rights activist who spearheaded black people advancement and freedom. Garvey was as a result jailed several times and later deported to Jamaica.

Hoover was the most controversial American president. He is known to have led America into the devastating economic crash of the late 1920s.

Brooks was the renowned actress, dancer and fashion designer. Her famous works were The Street of Forgotten Men of 1925 and A Girl in Every Port. She set the Bob Hair Cut style.
