Dick Cheney
Dick Cheney was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on 30th January 1941.He grew up in Casper, Wyoming. He has served in various positions in the public service including the White House Chief of staff to President Ford, Defense Secretary and Vice President of the United States among others.
Joseph M.Carey
Joseph M. Carey was born on 19th January, 1845 in Milton Delaware. He campaigned for president Grant’s election in 1867.This was well rewarded with his appointment as a U.S District Attorney. He is remembered as the Mayor of Cheyenne, the first U.S Senator from Wyoming and the Governor of Wyoming from 1911 to 1915.He died on 5th February 1924.
William Cody
William F. Cody was born in 1846 in Iowa. His skill in Buffalo hunting earned him the name Buffalo Bill. He is credited as the founder of Cody and Wyoming and Buffalo Bill’s Wild Show in Nebraska. He died in 1917 at the age of 71.
Esther Hobart Morris
Esther Hobart was born on 8th August 1814 in Tioga County; N.York.She lost her parents at an early age of eleven. She worked hard and became a successful businesswoman as well as a member of anti-slavery movement. She is renowned for advocating women voting rights in Wyoming and as the first female judge on the state.
