Heath Ledger was an Australian actor born in the beachfront town of Perth, Australia in April 1979. His childhood name was Heath Andrew Ledger and later nicknamed Heathy.He was the son of Kim Ledger and Sally Ramshaw.His engineer father and teacher mother divorced when he was at the tender age of eleven.
Ledger had one sister named Catherine and two step sisters called Olivia and Ashleigh. His step father was called Roger Bell. He is survived by a daughter Matilda Ledger after his tragic death in 22nd January 2005.

Heath Ledger’s acting talent was unveiled in junior high school drama. At the age of seventeen he dropped out of school and went to Sydney to try his acting career. He didn’t get an easy start, but his first real break came when he was given a small role in a low budget movie called Black rock in 1997.
